The greater Boston area is home to some of the highest ranking universities in the country, world-class hospitals, and cutting-edge tech companies, such as Microsoft. With 12 corporate and retail locations in the Boston area, Microsoft landed on building its newest technology center in Burlington, MA. This location will serve as a regional hub for approximately 300 of Microsoft’s New England sales, marketing, and services group to reach customers, partners, and developers throughout Northeast territory. The new Burlington office “places us in a centralized location close to Boston, but with easier access to all the surrounding states in our sales region,” said Microsoft General Manager, Robert Davy in a blog post about the move. When Microsoft made the move to its new Burlington office, the overall goal was to create a state-of-the-art facility with open working space for its sales and marketing team. Architects of Sasaki Associates designed a large open concept space encompassing 55,000 square feet. The building accommodates corporate offices, training rooms, and includes a cutting edge technology viewing experience. FilzFelt, known for its thermal and acoustic insulation properties, is 100% wool design felt imported from Germany and designed for acoustic solutions, drapery, floor coverings, hanging panels wall panels.
