It was two years ago this month that the groundbreaking ceremony for Kesseler Woods was held in Newton, MA.
The three-story, 190,000 square foot luxury residential community has 88 residential units, and features open concept floor plans, top-of-the-line finishes, and smart home technology. The residences opened in the spring of 2017. Contexture worked closely with Nauset Construction, who served as General Contractor on the project. The Contexture team, Division 10 Specialties experts, supplied all the bathroom accessories for the units.
Contexture also installed more than 465 Lutron Sivoia QS wireless motorized shades. The Sivoia QS shades are an ideal shade for total light control in a residential space–they offer ultra-quiet performance, simple operation, and easy installation. The Lutron shades were installed in every unit in the residence, and were integrated with the lighting system. Both the shades and the lights are controlled via a wireless keypad.
Although the Sivoia QS motorized shades were used in a residential application in this instance, these Lutron shades are also being used in many commercial applications, such as conference rooms. Of the 88 units, 13 are marked as affordable rate housing. During its groundbreaking ceremony, Newton Mayor Setti Warren commented that Kesseler Woods would provide “much needed quality rental housing in the area.” By partnering with Contexture, Kesseler Woods now provides top quality housing opportunities to established Newton residents and newcomers.
