Gerry-Rick

Ver-Tex Shading Solutions, the industry leader for design and installation of window treatments and construction specialties products, is excited to announce they’ve added three new executives to the Ver-Tex team: Gerry Riker will serve as Vice President of Construction Operations, Rick Kanaczet will serve as Vice President of Finance, and Jon Harrington will serve as Vice President of Sales.

With nearly 15 years of experience, Riker has a strong background in construction and project management. He previously owned a contracting business in Rhode Island, and was a project lead with one of the most preeminent general contractors in the Northeast. Riker managed all phases of construction, from budget to close out. In his new role with Ver-Tex, Riker will oversee and manage all aspects of Ver-Tex construction and operations. He is a resident of Marion, Massachusetts.

Kanaczet has worked in finance for more than 20 years. He worked previously as a senior finance executive instrumental in property consolidation, and as a chief financial officer, where he was crucial in designing and implementing new reporting and strategic plans for a large national maintenance company in its national expansion mode. In his new Ver-Tex role, Kanaczet will be directing and implementing finance, accounting, and strategic planning functions. Kanaczet is a Rhode Island native, and recently relocated to Foxborough, Massachusetts.

Harrington has worked in the construction industry for more than 15 years. Previously, he worked as a vice president for a remodeling company, and then joined Ver-Tex in 2007, where he has been vital to the Ver-Tex team as construction sales manager. In his new role, he will oversee all sales channels and marketing. He will create and implement sales strategy, and will handle all business development. Harrington resides in Taunton, Massachusetts.

All of the new executives will work closely with Ver-Tex’s recently appointed CEO and President, Brianna Goodwin. Goodwin says, “As we look to grow considerably in the next five years, adding three senior-level executives with experience in handling large-scale projects from start to finish is absolutely necessary. Jon, Gerry, and Rick all come from esteemed professional backgrounds, and their knowledge and experience will be vital to achieving our goals. We’re very excited to have them on our team!”

Ver-Tex rebranded to Contexture in 2022.
