30 Dalton is a 26-story apartment community located at the corner of Dalton and Belvidere Streets in Boston. Just minutes away from Fenway Park and the city’s premier shopping destinations, this thoughtfully designed space featuring open floor plans and incredible Boston skyline views is where creativity meets luxury. The collaborating architects, Cambridge Seven Associates and Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, worked with Pritzker Realty Group to design 30 Dalton with a modern twist. The building boasts 218 luxury rental units with amenities that will satisfy any resident’s lifestyle. With its unique prismatic form and shallow curve, the innovative building needed a window treatment design to match its high-end feel in both style and function. In 2016, 30 Dalton selected Ver-Tex Shading Solutions as its preferred shade solutions provider. Ver-Tex worked with Suffolk Construction to install more than 1,700 manual shades in the 30

Dalton’s apartment units. In addition to those manual shades, Ver-Tex installed 50 motorized shades and 10 motorized drapery tracks throughout the two 26th floor penthouse units, the resident community space, the library, and the leasing area. The large floor-to-ceiling windows in each unit called for a window treatment that would provide multiple benefits. The shades installed by Ver-Tex enhance privacy, filter light, and regulate temperature. The ability to adjust the motorized shades via remote control or smartphone app fits in with the modern luxurious atmosphere the building exudes. By partnering with Ver-Tex to provide the latest in manual and motorized shading technology, 30 Dalton has ensured that each resident will enjoy a sophisticated, green design that is beautiful, practical, and convenient.

Shade Light Solutions, our residential division, has a history of innovation that spans over 30 years, starting with the establishment of Ver-Tex Construction in 1985. Originally beginning as a full-service window treatment company based out of a garage in Abington, Massachusetts, Ver-Tex’s initial offerings included the cleaning, servicing, and supply of various kinds of blinds, shades, and draperies. Ver-Tex quickly earned a reputation as a one-stop shop to handle all window treatment needs.
