Brianna's existence is mainly consumed by her passion for leading the Contexture team and raising a full-of-life toddler. She thrives on the paradox of both being completely exhausting and exhilarating and life-giving. Although she's still a beginner at it, she continually practices scheduling time for self-care and to do the things she loves that "recharge" her, like camping in nature, traveling, learning and exploring new things, reading fiction books, and snuggling up with her cats. In addition to her love for her family and work team, she also loves learning and personal growth. She has dedicated her life to ontological development, deep personal development based on the art and science of being (not doing), influenced by the biology of cognition, existential philosophy, and the philosophy of language. She is committed to the lifelong journey of continuing to discover her blind spots and make her actions and impact align with her intentions.
Jared has been with the Contexture Southeast division since 2009 and has been in many different roles. He is passionate about the team and the work they do together. Jared takes particular enjoyment in work when an unconventional project requires creativity and outside-the-box thinking to accomplish it. In his personal life, Jared enjoys many different hobbies. His friends and family might even say his favorite hobby is starting new hobbies. Jared prefers to think of it as maintaining a healthy sense of curiosity and excitement. Either way, whether it's diving and spearfishing, cycling, cruising the beach on his OneWheel, building anything from a wristwatch to household furniture, or tinkering with his Jeep, Jared enjoys staying busy and learning new things. He can often be found ending his day reading a book, playing music, or deep in heavy YouTube research on his next hobby. Jared's family and friends are a huge part of his life, and he enjoys spending time with them at every opportunity. Jared says, "I've always loved the idea that a person's life is a book being written; each day, you get to fill out a new page. The adventures you have and who you have them with are all part of the story you're writing, and it's up to you to make it into what you want."

As Chief Information and Technology Officer, Tom leads enterprise technology strategy, digital transformation, and information security for Contexture. He works closely with Contexture's internal teams and outside project stakeholders, he partners with leaders across operations, estimating, project management, and finance to build the systems those teams rely on every day. Tom came to this role after twelve years involved with Contexture's construction operations, most recently as VP of Construction Operations, where he was accountable for installation teams, warehouse staff, project managers, and operations directors. He still loves the fast-paced and challenging world of construction, and he brings that operating perspective to every technology decision he makes.
His work beliefs? From conception to closeout, there are ample opportunities to learn, grow, and share experiences that build a strong team prepared for future challenges. The right tools are the ones built with the people who use them, not handed down to them.
Tom is passionate about spending quality time with his family and creating a collaborative work environment with the Contexture team. He has a wife and four daughters. Tom is always looking for new adventures and activities he can do with his family, whether at a concert, camping, hiking, beaches, skiing, or spending time in one of their favorite places, Cape Breton, NS.

Bill is passionate about hanging out with family and golfing. With golfing, he does not just like hitting a little ball around and getting frustrated but getting to experience different golf courses with good friends. For Bill, there is no such thing as having a bad day on the green. As for what motivates him most? First and foremost, his mom and dad. "They have shown me how it's done," says Bill. "Work hard and be proud no matter what your job is." Bill always thinks back to his dad's advice, "Never start the day with an apology." Advice he tries to live by daily. Another motivator for Bill? Earning money for golf, of course! 😉 Bill also has a superpower that he often uses outside and inside of work – his incredible sense of humor. His favorite song to get pumped up to is Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Bill says, "The beginning is slow, but if you are not playing air guitar by the end, check your pulse!" As said before, Bill will always have something humorous to say.

GGina BassStaff AccountantIf you see Ginger excited at work, chances are she is talking about food. If you see her crying, she was probably reading the other employee bios. Yes, she is definitely an empath. Food and her (sizable) family are the only things that really matter to her, and music and murder podcasts get her through every day. Most of her downtime is spent watching movies/shows/anime and enjoying her family. Otherwise, she is in the kitchen: cooking, baking, making proprietary spice blends and seasonings, inventing new cocktails, and drinking them. After a nonlinear and colorful career path, including positions such as Certified Nurse's Aide, Construction Laborer, C-5M Galaxy Aircraft Corrosion Services Technician, and more, she believes she found her home as the Warehouse Manager of Contexture Northeast. Her competitive spirit, natural sense of pride, and the residuals of a well-counseled guilt complex have ensured her successful navigation through male-dominated industries. Ginger was raised by a single father who taught her to handle kitchen utensils and power tools with equal competency, and her mother showed her not to wait for a man to do the heavy lifting. "At Contexture, my voice is welcome, and I'm encouraged to contribute my unique perspective and experience in a way that benefits not only me and my team but the company as well," says Ginger. "It's refreshing to be part of a company that actively and loudly promotes an inclusive, forward-thinking, and family-oriented culture of care."

Some of Lauren's favorite things to do are read, redecorate her house, and go to the beach. She spends two weeks in Aruba every year to get that beach time in. At home, you will find her doing the NYT crossword puzzle, cooking, or taking a million pictures of her adopted dog, Gracie. She spends a lot of her time going out with friends, and she loves to sleep in on the weekends. Seriously, don't wake her up.
Lawrence Fagan has been with Contexture since 2017. In that time, he has seen the company grow tremendously and has been fortunate enough to be a small part of that success. One of his favorite things about Contexture is that it is a community of care where everybody knows your name. For him, it is truly the people who make Contexture great to work for. When Lawrence is not working, he enjoys going to the beach, playing golf, exploring new places and cultures, and spending time with family and friends. "My advice for the future generation is to live in the moment, take nothing for granted, and seize every opportunity. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Carpe Diem!" says Lawrence.
Leeann's career has always been about helping others out. Regardless of her position, she wants to dig in, know the business, and help wherever possible. Executives are coming into town, and a presentation must be put together quickly. She's there. Is the bathroom out of toilet paper? She'll find you some. She loves to laugh. Whether it's with her or at her, you'll be her friend for life. The beach is her happy place, toes in the sand, and beer in hand is her life's motto. "In all seriousness, life is about memories because, in the end, that is what you try to hold on to," says Leeann. "So always make them good ones. If you're in the middle of something that could be a bad memory, change it and try to find a way to make it a good memory. And always try to out-love your partner. I promise you that it will make your relationship so much fun!" One last piece of advice from Leeann? "Always remember that struggle is part of the process. So, when you find yourself struggling, remember - that struggle is what is pushing you towards your success. No one achieves any success without struggle. Embrace the struggle!"

It is exciting for Yandy to create finished pieces of work and see them in action. Equally, it is disappointing if a project is not completed as he envisions. For Yandy, it pleases him to provide new, better, and easier ways to do something. As he likes to say, "instead of working smarter and not harder, I prefer "Smart + Lazy = Efficiency." Our story started in 1985 in a garage in Abington, Massachusetts. At the time, we were known as Ver-Tex Window Decor and focused on providing window treatment solutions to our customers.
As the company grew, so did what we could offer. We expanded our capabilities, moved into new markets, opened offices beyond Massachusetts, and built relationships with customers across the country.
In 2022, Ver-Tex rebranded as Contexture, to reflect the growth and evolution of our company over nearly four decades.
Today, more than 50,000 projects later, we’re still building on what got us here: knowing our industry, taking care of our customers, and continuing to grow with the buildings and technology around us.
Ver-Tex is founded in a garage
in Abington, Massachusetts.
Ver-Tex moves its headquarters from Abington,
Massachusetts to Canton, Massachusetts.
The company expands into construction specialties, adding new capabilities alongside its window treatment offerings.
Ver-Tex expands its national presence
with a new office in Florida.
Brianna Goodwin becomes President
and CEO of Ver-Tex Construction.
The company continues to grow and becomes
a female-majority-owned business.
Ver-Tex expands its window treatment and acoustic systems business into the Mid-Atlantic and rebrands as Contexture.
With more than 50,000 projects completed, Contexture continues to grow while helping commercial customers get more from their window shade systems.
What started as a small operation in Abington, MA has grown to servicing 11 states along the Eastern seaboard over the past four decades, but our focus remains on the customers we serve. Today we’re building on that experience, working directly with commercial property teams to provide the knowledge, service, and support they need for their window shade systems.
Commercial window shades look a lot different than they did when we started in 1985.
Our team has evolved through decades of changes in products and technology, from traditional manual blinds and roller shades to motorization, automation, controls, and integrated shading systems.
That history gives us a useful perspective. We understand older systems that have been operating in buildings for years, while our relationships with leading manufacturers keep us connected to the latest shade technology available today.
For our customers, that means you don’t have to figure everything out on your own. You have an experienced team that can answer questions, help you understand your options, and provide practical guidance based on your building.
Working directly with our customers helps us get to know their buildings, understand how their spaces are used, and provide the right support as their needs change.
Sometimes that relationship starts with a new shade system. Other times, a customer calls us because something needs to be repaired, an existing system needs attention, or they’re thinking about an upgrade.
Wherever it starts, we want to be a resource you can continue to turn to. As we get to know your building and your systems, it becomes easier to provide the right support as new needs come up.
Contexture has changed a lot since 1985, and we’ll continue to evolve as our customers, their buildings, and the technology behind window shades change.
New technology is giving building teams more ways to manage their shades, from motorization and automation to systems that connect with other building technology. Our job is to stay current with those changes and help our customers understand what makes sense for their properties.
As the industry moves forward, we’ll continue to do what we’ve always done: get to know our customers, share what we know, and be there when they need us.
You don’t need to know exactly what you need before you call us. Maybe you have questions about an existing system, need service, are considering an upgrade, or have something new in the works.
Tell us a little about your building and what you’re looking to accomplish. We’ll take it from there.
